What is the INSPIRATION for TheSnowBoardScene?

The story starts with a strong passion for snowboarding and an irreversible accident.  As it goes when life lessons are learnt and true progress occurs, chaos is necessary.

I’m Jesse.  On my last run of a very exhausting day, and with limited vision I conclude, “OK, why not go all out on a final jump?”  I caught an edge on the lip of the tabletop, sending me free flying through the air.  I overshot the landing and my head slammed the snow first, my back then proceeded to slap down on the hard-packed flats that followed.  The rest of the events are fuddled due to adrenaline rush from trauma and then morphine at the hospital…  Turns out I broke the left transverse processes on vertebrae L1+L2 and chipping them on L3+L4; my “wings” were cut.  I went from bedridden, to old-man walker, to crutches, to a cane, and then back on the mountain riding my snowboard again that season.  It’s all about determination, action, and PASSION.

My Bones

I consider snowboarding the love of my life.  I can’t say I ride fluidly like Shaun White nor crush mountains like Jeremy Jones, but in my own I know that the most elated moments in my life have been and will be on a snowy mountain.  Lastly, since I figured you would like to know what The Guy looks like when you’re interacting with TheSnowBoardScene, here I am:
